CLARINS Protecting Gift Unboxing
Currently Clarins counters around New Zealand are running a gift with purchase campaign dubbed "Time to Choose Your Gift". A quick search on the internet shows this offer by the French cosmetic company runs yearly from stores around the world. The gift sets on offer are more than generous; the condition being purchasing a minimum of two Clarins products with at least one being skincare. Thanks to my friend Emma introducing me to the wonderful world of Clarins products I have recently procured my very own gift set.

From my many facials and makeover experiences with the Clarins products the thing I loved most is how soothing the skincare products felt on my face the instant they made contact. Because I have really dry skin I decided to go with the Protecting Gift on offer. The set includes:
Multi-Active Day Cream for all skin types (15 ml)

Extra-Firming Body Cream (100 ml)
Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Shea Butter for Dry or Sensitive Skin (50 ml)

Time to choose your gift: firming, restoring or protecting?
The other two types of sets on offer are the Firming Gift and the Restoring Gift. The difference between these three gift sets is the face cream provided. The Protecting Gift has the Multi-Active Day Cream which contains black cumin extracts. This cream is full of antioxidants to help combat against early signs of aging. The Firming Gift has the Extra-Firming Day Cream which contains extracts of oat, bocoa, hops, banana and lemon thyme. Together they work on the collagen fibres in the skin to keep its firmness and elasticity. Finally, the Restoring Gift has the Super Restorative Day Cream that contains shea and extracts of cabbage rose and harungana. This is best reserved for those needing a pick-me-up for aging skin.

From the set I received I am most excited about the lip colour provided. It is a shiny glossy pink that looks rather natural and healthy. It also does not get sticky or tacky so your hair will not get trapped in an unbecoming manner. It feels just like a lip balm after application and hydrates the lips really well.

Clarins' products are known to be infused with botanical goodness giving you that extra natural factor.
